Where you buy matters
The price of milk is an issue for many whānau. But where you buy your milk can save you money. Often dairies have the cheapest prices, so check out the signs around your neighbourhood to find out if you can save.

Supermarkets make a lot of their profits from the fruit and veges they sell. Overall stores specialising in fruit and veges have better deals than the major supermarkets. However, before you rush off to the other side of town weigh up the amount you will save with the petrol and energy you will spend and make sure that it is worth it. If you have a fruit and vege store in your area (or nearby to a place you have to visit on a regular basis) consider how you can work these into your routines so that you are not doing a separate trip to purchase them.
